We are excited to report “no-fault divorce “is set to finally become law, after MP’s voted overwhelmingly to approve the Dissolution and Separation Bill in the House of Commons. This marks a huge step forward and a move to end the requirement to assign fault, such as adultery or behaviour in order to be granted a divorce.
At this very difficult time for all of us, we are striving to maintain the same quality service to all our clients.
Relationship breakdowns are difficult enough for all involved and become even more stressful when you factor in arrangements for your children. Our family team have a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping families work out the most appropriate solution to ensure the best interests of the children are put first.
Fairness for families
At the last count there were 3.3 million cohabiting families in the UK, making up more than 17% of all families.
All-important no-fault Divorce Law Reforms should be going through Parliament, but there have been delays due to Brexit and the General Election. It is hoped by the profession and the public alike that these reforms will not be too long in the making.
Having been part of the local community for over 70 years, we can really say we are passionate about local causes that help and support local people.
We recently held a coffee morning in support of MacMillan Cancer Support. Our team of bakers put their skills to the test and produced an amazing range of sweet treats. The delicious offerings went down a storm in our office.
