About David
David joined Close Thornton in 1967 as trainee cashier in the Accounts Department. In 1975 David qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and worked in the Conveyancing Department. He achieved the status of Member of the Society of Estates and Trust Practitioners in 1993. David began the long route of qualifying as a Solicitor which he achieved in September 1995 and went on to become a Partner in 2002. David retired as a Partner and became a Practising Consultant to the firm in 2016.

Outside Interests
David is a golf fanatic. He is past President and current Member of Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club. David is a grandfather of 5 and has 2 dogs, Labradoodle Mabel and a Bedlington Terrior cross "Bertie".
